South African-born Jonathan Butler renowned song writer and musician is returning once more to his place of birth in 2015, and invites you to join him as he embarks on this very personal pilgrimage to proudly share his humble beginnings - where it all started for him as a young rising artist in the face of adversity and personal struggles. And through it all he remains proudly South African relishing the opportunity to showcase "his" South Africa - its beautiful scenery, natural wildlife, rich heritage and gracious people.

Day 1
Arrival in Cape Town
You will be met off your flight at Cape Town International Airport by a member of our JB Safari team and transferred to your luxury hotel in the heart of Cape Town. Special Dinner together as a group.

Overnight stay at the Mount Nelson Hotel on a bed and breakfast basis.
Day 2
Excursion with Jonathan
You will be met at the hotel by the group's personal tour guide and be taken by luxury coach on a full tour of the beautiful Cape Peninsula. Highlights of the trip is a visit to Cape Point Nature Reserve, the most south westerly point in Africa. (adverse weather conditions may result in a rescheduling on alternative days for these excursions)
Lunch on tour and all entrance fees Included
Evening at own leisure. Dinner on own account.

Day 3
Visit Jonathan's Special Places
Early morning Ferry ride across Table Bay to visit Robben Island. From the 17th to the 20th centuries, Robben Island served as a place of banishment, isolation and imprisonment. Today it is a World Heritage Site and museum, a poignant reminder to the newly democratic South Africa of the price paid for freedom. Scenic tour of the Island to enjoy breathtaking views across the bay.
Lunch will be provided where we sample the local Cape Malay foods.
Weather permitting we take a cable car to the top of the iconic Table Mountain, now chosen as one of the World’s 7 Wonders of Nature.

Day 5
Visit Jonathan’s home town and Cape Winelands
Today we take you through Jonathan’s town where he grew up and visit a nearby school he supports. Then out on a scenic drive to the heart of the Cape Winelands to enjoy the wines and ambiance of the wine growing regions. Visiting some of Jonathan’s favorite wineries and places to enjoy lunch.

Day 6
On Safari
Today we head north on Safari. Transfer to Cape Town Airport by flight to your private game reserve. Once settled in, you enjoy a late afternoon drive spotting wild animals in their natural habitat as mother nature intended. Enjoy varied activities and relaxation together with a full board of sumptuous meals exquisitely prepared by the Private Game Lodge's chefs.

Day 7
On Safari
Another day dawns and with the prospect of some more excellent game sightings as you head out for your morning Game Safari Drive . Enjoy varied activities and relaxation together with a full board of sumptuous meals exquisitely prepared by the Private Game Lodge's chefs. An early evening night drive catches the nocturnal animals in view. A perfect day ends around the lodge "boma" sharing story and song with Jonathan.

On Safari
By now you really getting into the excellent game sightings and sharing stories of the day's activities over shared meals together. Two full Safari Drives including a sunset celebration. Another perfect day in the African wilderness ends around the lodge campfire.

Day 9
On Safari and End of Tour
An early rise to catch the morning dew on the high veld to awaken and bid farewell to the wild inhabitants of the reserve as you complete one last round of game drives before heading back for a hearty breakfast at base camp. Alas the last day on Safari draws to a close as we fly you back to Johannesburg International Airport. A fond farewell sends you off with the anticipation of your next visit.
